Is there a driver for a Vytek 500 or 1000? Or maybe a subsitute?
All past answers:
Hello Dan, these plotters have not been sold here in Europe. We never had a command manual of one of these plotters and until now no one asked for a driver for a Vytek plotter. If you can organize a command manual for your Vytek plotter, we can try to generate a driver together. But if you plotter is HPGL compatible, try the "Standard HPGL"-, a Roland- or a Mimaki-driver. I do have a command list.... It is HPGL or DMPL Compatible though I haven't tried the generic hpgl driver yet. I am currently using the Allen Datagraph 936 driver that came with CoCut. By the way I am using the demo version of CoCut Pro. I need a print/cut solution for the equipment I have. The demo locks out to many of the print options to see if the Print/Cut thing is actually feasible. I currently run Casmate 6.54... of which I am sick of. I am truly interested in CoCut,(may even like to become a dealer) It seems to work well for cutting vinyl but, the print/cut thing is the future of this industry. May I email the command list. Thanks, Dan DC Lettering & Design
Hello Dan, the Alan Datagraph driver is HPGL compatible. I think, it should not be very difficult to generate a Vytek driver then. Please send me the commands and then we can generate a driver. Perhaps your plotter has special features/functions we can integrate into the driver (such like pen change ...). Please let me know in your eMail all infos you have about the plotter. To get more information about the print and cut features and to find out, if it works with your equipment, you should contact your dealer. Best regards Hans Friedrich Holz / Support
